Tim Banks, CEO of Octagon, the Luxury Property Developer, reports that the developer is bucking the trend and having a very buoyant summer of sales.
The general consensus for many in the housebuilding industry is that the longer, warmer days of summer often spell a quieter period when it comes to sales – something we have not been a stranger to in the past. However, I am delighted to say that we have bucked the trend for 2019, with July proving an incredibly busy month for Octagon and delivering a pleasing £20m total of sales. Three of our prime properties at a range of asking prices, have sold in quick succession.
The first was at Bishops Row, a collection of nine luxury townhouses in Fulham, with unobstructed views across the River Thames and Hammersmith Bridge. One purchaser simply couldn’t resist the draw of the extensive roof terrace of the largest home – 6,150 sq ft across six floors, the supersized family home also featured a lift and five double bedrooms.
The remaining townhouses at Bishops Row are priced from £3.3m, with viewings available through Strutt & Parker.
The second sale was one of the beautiful apartments at Eagle House, our Grade II* Listed renovation in the heart of Wimbledon Village. With the local area awash with activity throughout the famous tennis fortnight, the brand new showhome, with historical features including decorative ceilings and original fireplaces, was soon snapped up.
Eagle House is a truly exceptional building, with all 8 luxury apartments enjoying their own unique charms within the carefully restored façade. Just five homes still remain, with pricing from £2.25m.
Last, but by no means least, the award-winning Titlarks House, built in partnership with Kebbell Homes, made quite a statement in the luxury market, offering an extraordinary opportunity for lateral living spread across just 2 floors.
Unique features included a 1,000 sq ft triple-height entrance hall, impressive super-room incorporating a kitchen/breakfast/family room, and a leisure suite with spa, sauna and steam & treatment rooms.
This is not only a great testament to the continued hard work and exceptional craftmanship of the Octagon team, but, as we head into yet further political uncertainty in the next few months, hopefully also a reflection on the confidence in the luxury property market as a whole.
As we look forward to autumn, the official launch of Broadoaks Park in West Byfleet fast approaches. Phase One of this unique flagship parkland estate includes 26 homes, from new build apartments and 3-5 bedroom houses, to beautifully converted 2 bedroom apartments within the Listed Coach House, with prices from £625,000.
We have enjoyed a significant amount of interest in the development and delve into this new sector of the property market for Octagon with excitement!
