Produced using the finest long-staple GOTS-certified organic cotton and spun into smooth, soft Sateen, the results are plush, lightweight and breathable, washable bed linen. In three designs, named after the most beautiful regions of India, Ara Living have launched their line of luxury bedding, made to exacting standards and with an elegant aesthetic.
Founders of Ara Living, Himanshi & Dhruv with no experience in textiles or retail, discovered a gap in the market for high quality, luxurious bedding that was not only more affordable, but – most importantly to the married couple – made with people and the planet in mind. “We began by learning what quality in linens was all about says Dhruv, “and then we found family-run farms who were growing premium organic cotton and smaller-scale Fairtrade factories where skilled workers are paid fairly and treated with respect.” “Bringing these elements together” said Himanshi, “we built a transparent, sustainable supply-chain that would produce exceptional quality bedding in the most ethical manner.” By cutting out the middleman Ara Living provides the highest quality homeware products at the best value.
“As part of the Ara Giving initiative, we pledge a part of our profits to end modern slavery and fight for ethical work conditions for marginalised communities – so everyone can sleep better at night.” Himanshi
With a focus on comfort and attention to detail, each duvet cover has inside corner ties, to ensure the duvet doesn’t move when inside the cover, as well as invisible buttons enclosed within the flange at the base and fitted sheets are crafted with extra depth, to ensure they don’t slip around on the mattress.
Each of the classically white products are available in either Double, King or Super King sizing, and with soft cotton packaging bags constructed from fabric off-cuts, nothing goes to waste. All Ara Living purchases arrive with a pair of complimentary, luxury aromatherapy candles named Dawn and Dusk.
